Our Junior ‘A’ Hurlers were beaten today by local rivals Brian Dillon’s in the semi-final of the Junior Hurling Championship. It was a very disappointing loss for the lads, who had hurled so well in the league and previous championship games. The players and the management team can be proud of the commitment and character shown throughout the game. The lads let Dillon’s reach a six point lead early in the second half and showed huge character to claw their way back into the game to only trail by one point going into the last few minutes. However, Dillon’s tacked on the next two points to come out winners on a scoreline of 0-20 to 0-17.
